Debate round: Implementation of the motion Zwolle vuurwerkvrij

This debate is the follow up on a couple of debates (Third Theme debate: Fireworks, understandable language in policy making and no more Russian Gas, Fifth Theme debate: New year’s eve 22-23 and public toilets and a passed motion Motion passed: the inevitable end of consumer fireworks in Zwolle, be it a bit late) In this debate the Mayor asked the city council to choose from a couple of scenarios to shape the policy surrounding consumer fireworks and the new tradition the city council would like to shape together with the people of Zwolle.

Art. 45 questions: Security concerns about the PEC stadium and football related incidents

After remote controlled smokeboms went off in our local football stadium during the IJsselderby almost all political parties represented in the city council of Zwolle came together to ask the Mayor questions about the ongoing incidents surrounding the stadium and the club. GroenLinks, CDA, CU, D66, PvdD, PvdA, VOLT, VVD and SP asked the following questions:

Debate round: participation ordinance

For this debate I had to replace my colleague Marloes. Because the national government introduced the new Omgevingswet , which goes into effect January first 2024, every municipality needs to have a participation ordinance. Zwolle developed this ordinance together with residents, interest groups and a committee on citizen participation. The municipality wants it to be used as a template for all participation organized in the city, not only the projects that fall under the omgevingswet.
