in GroenLinks Zwolle

Working in a very operational role for an NGO serving the Dutch research and education field is still one of the best jobs in the world for me. But I missed being involved in my local community ever since moving back to Zwolle just before the pandemic hit. I looked for something to get more involved and decided to apply for a position on the candidates list for the local chapter of GroenLinks (a member party of the European Greens) here in Zwolle for the Municipal elections of 2022.

I’ve been a member of GroenLinks ever since I was sixteen so the choice for a party was an easy one. The combination of tackling the climate crisis which is undoubtedly the biggest challenge for my and future generations, together with social policy concerning housing, welfare and redistribution of wealth is what always appealed to me in this party. Our new program for Zwolle was confirmed at the general assembly yesterday in Zwolle, you can read the whole program (unfortunately at this time only in Dutch) here:

I’m very proud to announce that our local general assembly also confirmed my position as proposed by the candidate committee as number 4 on the list! I’m looking forward to the campaign together with everyone at GroenLinks Zwolle and hopefully your vote ;)!
